# SOTA -\> WOTA - may be broken for a while

Just a notice that the SOTA → WOTA spot functionality is likely to broken for a while, until I can get round to updating the code to work with the new SOTA API that is being rolled out today.

The code is programmed in a language called Go and I’ve not written that for at least 3 years, or deployed any code, so I’m a bit rusty about what to do and as it happens it is somewhat of a convenient ‘hack’ given the way it works, so there is always opportunity for it to break in unexpected ways when it comes to deployment. I chose Go because it would have been much harder to ‘bolt on’ code in another language.
