Phil & Nick will be around next week from Monday until Friday staying at The Patterdale Hotel with 22 members of Ryedale Walking Group. We will be activating a few WOTA and SOTA summits. We don’t know which summits will be activated on which day, but Red Screes, Middle Dodd, Little Hart Crag and High Hartsop Dodd will definately be activated as this walk I will lead myself. It is unlikely to be on the Monday. There may be a few other summits activated in the week. All activations will be brief so as not to impede the walking group. Anticipated activation time is only likely to be 5 minutes on each summit with handheld and whip. If we land on a summit for lunch then we will have a little more time in which to make contacts. We will try to alert the night before once the next days walk routes are confirmed. It looks like the weather will be good next week in the Lakes, and with the summer bus schedule starting on Monday 31st March we will be able to use the 508 bus through the whole length of the Kirkstone Pass, Penrith to Windermere.
