Grasmoor LD weekend Sat 10th Jun 2023

Reg 2E0LDF and myself are planning on activating Grasmoor LD-009 / LDW-020 on Sat 10th Jun 2023. This is the start of the SOTA LD weekend so hopefully there will be alot of hills being activated. This is assuming the weather is ok. My time for Grasmoor is approximate.

After Grasmoor we are hoping to activate the following Wainwrights:-

Crag Hill (Eel Crag) LDW-024

Wandope LDW-051

Whiteless Pike LDW-106

Rannerdale Knotts LDW-209

This is the plan but as i said weather will play a big part in our plans.

I cannot give any timings for the WOTA summits as it depends how long we spend on Grasmoor.

The route we will take is up Lad Hows.

Hope to work plenty of stations and hope to work anyone from Rannerdale Knotts!

I should be up on Dale head Geoff and probably stay up for an hour or so , hope to catch you both on Grasmoor and maybe more . When you originally said the weather would be playing a part in the plans bet you didn’t expect it might be too hot ? :hot_face:

Hi Richard,

Given my track record of walking with Reg and Derek i did not expect it the weather to be this good. Hopefully it will be good tomorrow.

Hope to get you on Dale Head in the morning. I am hoping to get away at about 0700hrs in the morning as it is about a 90 minute drive to our parking place at Crummock and that depends on traffic.
