High Rigg & 145 Alive Event

A few pictures from the WOTA/SOTA activation on High Rigg on the 26th . Beautiful day with flocks of fieldfare and a skein of Geese flying high and heading South confirming Autumn is here . Worked 2m , 40m and 20m . I spoke to M0YDH who was in St Johns down below , about to set out on an activation of his own with his Dad .
The following day I did the 145 Alive net UK event from Just NE of Whitehaven , It was great when Dave with his Dad again joined the net from both Sale Fell and Ling Fell . With 17 stations on frequency he had a ready source of contacts with which to qualify both summits .

Always great views of Blencathra from High Rigg!

I think you get some great views from some of the smaller ones Mark , you get a good perspective and an idea the scale of things both below and above you .
I tuned in on 40m but couldn’t hear you on your summit today , the skip seems to have been a bit long recently when the band’s been working at all .
