Please note that the Kirkstone Pass is closed for the foreseeable future between Troutbeck and Kirkstone Inn (Windermere side) due to a landslide. Alternative access is from Ambleside via the Struggle.
Confirmed yesterday that there is access between Glenridding and Ambleside even though the signs are very misleading, especially heading from Penny Bridge to Kirkstone Pass, saying there is ‘no access beyond Kirkstone Inn’.
