Not many contacts to fill in today on Lords Seat , 6 in all but I did use the new adi upload which mark has been working on and it worked fine . Many thanks for your efforts Mark .
It was one of those days , strong Icy cold blasts of wind driving heavy sleet and snow squalls , and anything not nailed down was going to disappear in the direction of Bassenthwaite lake plus the issue with qrm which affects some far Northern Fells s7/8 static bursts every few of seconds , even the FT65 which is usually not so affected was struggling , and it cost a S2S unfortunately , not for the lack of trying , but I had taken an old icom for the first time , that was given to me by Reg a while ago which seemed to cope a bit better after I had to faff about with a loose connection on the power lead I’d made up for it . It has no S meter but signals received from Derek 2E0MIX and G6LKB and M0SSD in the South and GM4PPT nr Ayr were decent enough both ways . It was though a day that you knew when you’d had enough , Best to call it a day before you stop enjoying and start enduring .
Richard.
