This walk I love and definitely my favourite…lost count on how many times I’ve raced up it after work, but I think lock down and the beers made this much much harder this time round :roll_eyes: !!

Is that the route up you took in photo’s 6102 1nd 6107? If so it looks steep!!

Hi Geoff yes thats the route its a bit scramble in places…Whin Ben I find just has hard at the start of the climb before you climb Whiteside but doesn’t get mentioned often.Much care is needed on the way down like Reg has mentioned no room at all for a mistake…another photo me and my sister climbing it in November last year.

Thanks for the photo’s Mike - looks like Whiteside to Grisedale Pike via Hopegill Head would be a great three-Wainwright ridge walk if you could persuade someone to drop off/pick up.

Hi Mark, have thought about it and could probably just double back to the van via Gasgale Gill, getting over a knee and calf injury so hopefully back out very soon :+1:
