In preparation for the WOTA 2m/70cm SSB/CW Challenge I activated Whatshaw Common LDO-032 this morning with my very-recently-repaired FT817 and just using the same Diamond RH770 ½-wave whip as I use for 2m FM. So, no extra faff setting up a Yagi, etc.
Nice to work Rick G4XPL in the Preston-Blackpool area on 2m CW and SSB with my 5W of RF plus a WOTA S2S with Matthew M0MZB/P on Hard Knott LDW-151.
LD0-032 is easy 30-minute walk from a long layby on the A6, albeit boggy in places – but then my nutty golden retriever loved running around in that getting wet and muddy.
